MASON; October 28, 2008 — Prasco announced today it has begun shipping generic forms of Dorzolamide Hydrochloride-Timolol Maleate and Dorzolamide Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solutions, comparable to Merck’s COSOPT® and TRUSOPT®.
Dorzolamide hydrochloride-timolol maleate and dorzolamide hydrochloride ophthalmic solutions are indicated for the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
Dorzolamide hydrochloride-timolol maleate and dorzolamide hydrochloride ophthalmic solutions are therapeutically equivalent and substitutable for the brands COSOPT® and TRUSOPT® respectively.
